I Achieved 90% Consistency With AI Images.
So what's the point?!
I am a father of two kids and I started writing stories for older children that introduce complex technical concepts in engaging ways for 7-12-year-olds, mainly for my kids, and then published them publicly.
The main challenge I faced was in generating images for those stories.
If I were to hire someone, each story would cost me at least $250-$400, and scaling this would be expensive.
So, I decided to go with AI-generated images.
The main challenge here was in generating consistent characters throughout the pages of the storybook.
and that's where my research and experiments began!
Today, I am so close and am on 90% accuracy.

I am working mainly on a combination of the following:
1- Short Descriptive prompts for each character, something like:
โถ ๐โ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐_1 = ๐๐๐, ๐ 10-๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ, ๐ค๐๐กโ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ โ๐๐๐, ๐ค๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ก-๐ โ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ .
Testing and evaluating different prompt structures that get the best results. especially when we have multiple characters.
2- Testing and evaluating with different Image Generation models.
3- Fine-tuning image Generation Models on Characters and Working on a technique to combine different generated characters in one scene.
4- Testing the best styles that help the model generate consistent scenes

Working now on > 95% accuracy ...

I Built a Sketch To Realistic Image Converter - Try It!
Here is how I built it:
1- For the main UI, I used streamlitโ
2- I used GPT-4o for image understanding and generating a prompt for Image Generation.
3- Stable diffusion was used for image generation.
Now it is time to test with different models, then hop into local models to make this private and free. stay tuned!
